Tyquawon Parker Arrested in the murder of Ahylea Willard

It took CMPD more than a month to find Tyquawon Parker and charge him the homicide that occurred at an east Charlotte apartment complex last month.

Tyquawon Parker Photo MCSO

On October.23 at around 11:15 a.m., a woman was found shot and killed on Snow Lane at the Heritage Park Apartments. Police said officers were called for a welfare check when they found someone who had been shot.

MEDIC said Ahylea Willard, 32, died at the scene. Officers confirmed Willard was found behind a dumpster at the apartments.

Parker was arrested on Monday by CMPD and Guilford County Law Enforcement in Guilford County.

Parker was convicted of armed robbery in 2018 and sentenced to only 4 years and 10 months in prison. He was released on June 23, 2021 and was placed on supervised release for one year. He was released in June of this year, four months before he killed Willard.

Charlotte's Worst Eyesores

Axios Charlotte asked what are the ugliest places in Charlotte. Not surprisingly Dee Dee Harris' Hole aka Quail Hollow Hole took top honors.

From Axios: One spot in particular received the most responses: The vast, undeveloped and overgrown yet prominent pit down Park Road near Quail Hollow.

Backstory: The property on Gleneagles has been owned by Dee-Dee Harris and Harris Land Co. since the early 1990s. Plans for the property have been proposed several times over the years — including to add high-end tenants like a Saks Fifth Avenue and a Ritz-Carlton Hotel — but the property remains in limbo.

What they’re saying: “I can’t believe the country club hasn’t demanded that it is at least turned into a green space – what a blemish for Charlotte, particularly during the golf tournaments!” -Amy T.

“It could become a beautiful little park/garden that would bring much beauty to that corner.” Jane C.

Funny how people are slow to react:

CP wrote about this five years ago with the prospect of both the PGA Championship and the just held President's Cup, coming to Quail Hollow. But the effort got little traction.

Of course Johnny Harris is micro focused on Quail Hollow and we can assume seldom drives past the cesspool now homeless camp known as Dee Dee's Hole. But how just ugly.

It is time for the City and County to move on the property. Build or Condemn and turn the area into much needed green space.

Now after years of neglect the hole has become a home to waterfowl. Heron, Geese, Ducks and some homeless birds have made the urban sanctuary home.

But let's be clear the last night the area needs is "affordable housing" the blight that exists just to the west on Sharon Road and to the south behind Charlotte Cathloic High School is enough of the crime/drug dealer havens.

Twitter I Give Up!

Maybe Elon Musk can fix Twitter, but I have my doubts.

It is deeper than fire everyone and change all the settings.

Take for example my "retort" to the "Asian Hate" wokeness of 2021.

After endless hysteria spawning tweets from Liberals over a number of obvious hate based physical attacks on Asian Americans CP offered up this:

Many, in fact likely all of these crimes were perpetrated by African Americans who often feel victimized by Asian shop owners in the intercities of our nation.

Nothing about my reply was threatening or promoted violence but yet there were are suspended because CP tweeted the words......

My point was clear our culture evolves, left alone we grow to accept those we find different and over time biases diminish.

But fan the flames and well here we are.

Charlotte Driver Video Tapes Racist CMPD

CMPD running a Accident Reduction Operation targets low income folk?

Well at least that's what one random Charlotte resident claims as she witnesses several simultaneous traffic stops along The Plaza.

The driver or passenger can be heard saying "everyone they pull over is Black".

In the video CMPD marked SUV's are seen conducting traffic stops as well as two "Dual" sport motorcycles as the voice remarks "you need to take your ass to the south side".

Cedar's take:

This is the same tired "you pulled me over because I'm black excuse". It has got to be hard blaming life's mistakes on your skin color. Of course you can hear it: "Officer you pulled me over because I'm black" followed by "No ma'am I pulled you over because you were doing 67 in a 35 mph zone and you don't have a valid tag on your car".

Anyone driving in Charlotte just to the grocery store or taking the kids to school has noticed the insanity or Charlotte drivers. So many have toss the DMV manual out the window that speeding has become insane. 70 on Central and Providence and 100 is normal on 485.

So what's your take?

Small Minded Bicyclists

Have you ever noticed how fast and efficient UPS drivers are? Not just the right turn only routes but they never seem to struggle with directions or finding the package that's your's when the truck rolls to a stop.

But never mind their efficiently because bicyclists are convinced they are more important. Take as Huma Imtiza who is having a nutty over a Brown Truck parked for 30 seconds on a bike lane for an example.

Finally CP has had enough and so the suggestion to just let it go is offered she then blocked me. But it didn't stop there she continued blast UPS and other drivers.

But somewhere down the line she tangled with the wrong person and ended up deleting her twitter account.

"The Ford" 2 Years Still No Arrests

This is what hands off policing looks like.

He's such a Mayorkas

Somehow I think it would be fitting that we adopt the term "mayorkas" as someone who is so grossly incompetent, dismissive and arrogant that his/her actions border on being negligent with malice and perhaps even criminal.

Alejandro Mayorkas has set the bar so high that only the most incompetent could achieve his level of failure.

The term "mayorkas" should forevermore be reserved for only the most arrogant clowns on the planet.

His massive hubris and never ending mantra of "The Border is Secure" is the most absurd of any statement ever made within the halls of congress while under oath by a government official.

Clearly only a "mayorkas" like Alejandro Mayorkas would be of the opinion that everything is under control.

Are You My Uber?

Where is my Uber?

Are you my Uber? No.

Oh this is my Uber!

That's not my Uber!

Where is my Damn Uber!

Are you my Uber? No!

Are you sure you are not my Uber? Yes!

Why are you funcking parked here?

I'm convinced that the human race is devolving into stupid mindless Zombies. This woman is proof! She refused to get out of the travel lane convinced I was her Uber, even though there are three other people in my car and yelling profanities at me because she's self absorbed liberal nut bird.

Why Was Wayne Wilson Not In Jail? Updated

According to CMPD, they have arrested a man wanted in connection with the “brutal” sexual assault of a woman late Friday and early Saturday northwest of uptown.

Local news reports say first ID'd the perp as Wayne Wilson then went on to report: "The victim was walking from Tuckaseegee Road and Glenwood Drive when a stranger approached her near the 3800 block of Glenwood Drive, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Sgt. Alli Rooks said in a CMPD video interview on Twitter.

Photos via CMPD Crime Stoppers

Soon after the stranger struck up a conversation with the woman, “the victim was brutally, physically attacked and then sexually assaulted,” Rooks said. “She was able to get away from the (assailant) and report the incident,” Rooks said. The victim was treated at a hospital, according to the sergeant.

Sexual assault detectives responded to the scene, along with patrol officers, and canvassed the area. Police “developed a person we would like to speak to” who closely resembles the description of the assailant provided by the victim, Rooks said. CMPD described the suspect as Black, 5-feet-5 to 5-7, skinny, with medium-brown skin, brown eyes, a mustache and a goatee and low-cut hair.

He wore faded brown jeans, a white-and-blue T-shirt under a red hoodie, and black shoes, police said. He’s “potentially missing a few teeth on the top or the bottom,” Rooks said. Police stepped up patrols in the area, according to Rooks. Just before 5 p.m., CMPD Metro Division officers found a man matching the assailant’s description, according to a CMPD news release.

Officers identified the man, 29-year-old Octavius Wayne Wilson, as a person of interest and took him to police headquarters for questioning. Wilson was arrested and jailed on charges of first-degree rape, first-degree attempted sexual offense, kidnapping, sexual battery and assault on a female."

Cedar Posts is assuming that "Wayne" is an alias and the his real name is Octavius Deandra Wilson.

But why was Wilson out on the streets?

Octavius Wilson Photo Courtesy MCSO 2/09/2021

On February 9, 20221 Wilson was arrested and charged with Assault on a Female, Communicating Threats, and Larceny. He was released on February 22, 2021 on an unsecured bond.

Octavius Wilson Photo Courtesy MCSO 9/13/2021

On September 13, 20221 Wilson was arrested and charged with Assault with a Deadly Weapon and two counts of Attempted 1st Degree Forcible Rape. He was released on September 30, 2021 on an unsecured bond.

Octavius Wilson Photo Courtesy MCSO 04/26/2022

On April 26, 2022 Wilson was arrested and charged with Assault Inflicting Serious Injury. He was released on June 10, 2022 on an unsecured bond.

Octavius Wilson Photo Courtesy MCSO 09/16/2022

On September 16, 2022 Wilson was arrested and charged with Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Attempted 1st Degree Forcible Rape. He was released on October 5, 2022 on a minimal bond of $10,000.00 meaning he somehow raised $1,000.00 with the help of a bail bondsman and a promise to appear for his court date of January 4, 2023.

This is once again a flaming example of bail reform gone wrong. Liberal judges and magistrates releasing violent felons and a Mecklenburg County DA who is impotent and incompetent.

Cedar Update: This week Mecklenburg County Judge Tracy Hewett reduced the Wilson's bond from $2 Million set by a Mecklenburg County Magistrate to $50,000.00 despite a prior attempted rape charge and recent history of failing to show up for court.

Meaning if he can find a bail bondsman stupid enough to "front" the bail and can raise the 10% usually required by the bail bondsman his happy ass will be back out on the streets again.

Judge Tracy Hewett Photo Facebook

CMPD arrested Wilson last year for reportedly trying to rape a different woman in the same general area. At that time, a judge ordered Wilson to electronic monitoring and granted him a $20,000 bond. He eventually made bond by raising the required $10,000.00  and was released from custody, but court records show Wilson missed a court appearance tied to his prior charge in August 2022.

Instead of raising his bond, court records show Judge Carla Archie, who won re-election unopposed Tuesday night, set his new bond for the 2021 attempted rape and connected assault with a deadly weapon charge to a combined $10,000.00 actually lowering the bail amount. Wilson bonded out on October 5, 2022.

Senior Resident Superior Court Judge Carla Archie Facebook

According to sources Meck DA Attorney Spencer Merriweather did not object to the lower bail amount but then told WSOC that prosecutors continue to relay concerns to judges about violent offenders given low bonds.

"I think the community is right to have the expectation that whenever someone commits a serious violent crime that that person is held in custody," Merriweather said Wednesday. "Often it’s our responsibility to be a voice for (victims) and you can’t help but feel their level of angst."

As my friend Percey Craven would say "he's talking out of both sides of his mouth".

While Merriweather said he can't talk specifically about any case, he said the practice has the potential to discourage victims from cooperating.

CMPD Chief Johnny "Backwards" Jennings told the media "There's no bond amount that is sufficient for a community's peace of mind regarding their safety,"

Juwan Sean Brye Changed With Murder

We've reached the point of stupid where CMPD makes an arrest in a homicide case yet we are left to guess why and for what murder. Odd don't you think?

What we do know is that Juwan Brye was processed at the MCSO Intake Center at just after 2 AM this morning. He is charged with 1st Degree Murder and Discharging a Firearm into Occupied Property.

BUt this depends on the accuracy of the input made by the MSCO which is well known for processing error, misspelled names, incorrect charges, and other errors. Their inability to understand hispanic surnames is legendary.

American Airlines Passenger Melt Down

Airline travel is challenging, even for long time business travelers. The demographic shift in passengers and discounted airfares means your chances of encountering a traveling nut case are pretty damn high.

Purchasing a "First Class" ticket might protect you from the barroom brawls in coach but not from the deranged idiot on your next Charlotte to Baltimore flight.
Yesterday, American Airlines Flight 1223 arrived in Charlotte only 4 minutes late and promptly found a gate and began the process of deplaning passengers.

First Class followed by coach passengers, smoothly exited the aircraft and within minutes they were on their way to connecting flights or baggage claim.

A quick clean up and the American Airlines Airbus 321 would be ready for the 3:05 return flight to Baltimore.

Except Inside the empty plane seated in row 23 is a lone passenger, who is now refusing to exit the aircraft. When American employees tried to "assist" her out of her seat she reportedly went into meltdown mode.

It took 3 CMPD Officers, 2 Medics, 1 Clergy, and 6 American Airlines employees 50 minutes to talk the young woman into departing the aircraft.

American 2411 departed fifty minutes late without further incident.

As for the passenger apparently she was "scared" but finally exited the aircraft willingly or somewhat under her own power as she was strapped to a narrow wheelchair her arms and legs bound but not in handcuffs or a straightjacket and apparently she was not arrested. Medic was providing her with oxygen, maybe to keep her calm?

What a mess.

Too Fast Too Furious? (The One Who Got Away)

Ask anyone around Charlotte about "Street Racing" and they will tell you it is out of control.

Last weekend's Southpark "take over" of Fairview and Park Roads lasted a full hour. Dozens of calls to 911 with no response from CMPD.

CMPD tells local media that they were on the scene 14 minutes after the calls came in. But CMPD sources tell CP and Meckburbia that they've been told to "stand down". In other words No pursuits No arrests.

Need proof?

Doing donuts Uptown just a few blocks from CMPD Headquarters and surely you'll get busted?

 .

Or maybe not. Seems the no pursuit no arrest order to stand down is true.

But CMPD tells local media that's not true. There also no serial killer targeting Black women.

Street Racing In Charlotte? No Way!

From the local talking heads at WSOC last night:

Several residents in SouthPark witnessed street racing and stunts late Friday night at the intersection of Tyvola and Park roads.

Here's the news story at WSOC.(Yes I know its painful to deal with the endless pop ups and video ads).

Serena Battista watched it happen from her condo balcony. There were cars doing doughnuts, drifting, screeching tires and the noises of loud engines and horns.

“It was insane, and I wanted them to go away so I could go to bed,” Battista said. “It was literally a free-for-all,” Battista said. “Pretty much just havoc everywhere.”

Battista said that she saw hundreds of cars blocking off the intersection and people standing in the street, which caused a traffic jam.The street takeover lasted about an hour between about midnight and 1 a.m.

“It’s very irresponsible,” she said. “That should have been dealt with especially, because this is such a busy residential neighborhood.”

Another resident emailed Channel 9 to say that she called police but had to wait four minutes while on hold with 911.

Officers responded to the intersection well after the crowd had dispersed, she said.

“There were, like seven people that said they called, and I know the neighborhood across the street, there were people who called, as well,” she said.

Battista said there was more chaos when the crowds and cars finally left.

“Nobody paid attention to the traffic lights,” Battista said. “There could have been countless accidents. People were going whatever way they wanted to and I saw almost three of them (collide).”

Channel 9 sent the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department a series of questions about the incident and has not heard back.

Whoa this seems to be news to WSOC? But Charlotte's street racing scene is and has been out of control.

CMPD's policy is still hands off never mind the end result of doing just that on "The Ford" two years ago when Jamaa Cassell, Christopher Gleaton, Kelly Miller and Dairyon Stevenson died in the shooting.

CMPD Officers were told to "stand down" after a Juneteenth  after a block party on Beatties Ford Road. Police say 150 rounds were fired into a crowd of 400 people in the early-morning hours of June 22, 2020.

Cedar's Take: Personally I love street racing. However, CMPD's unwillingness to enforce traffic laws is just stunning.

A Sad Tale A Mother's Pain and The Liberal Media

A local Charlotte News Operation led the other day tells a sad story of a mother's pain:

A Charlotte mother is demanding justice three years after her son was shot and killed.

20-year-old Darnel Mills was a passenger in a car that police say was driven by 44-year-old Kehlan Johnson.
(Other reports say Mills was driving when Johnson shot him in the head)

Authorities say Johnson ran away from the scene right after the shooting, but later turned himself into police.  Mills died from his injuries 9 days later.

Kehlan Johnson Photo Courtesy of MCSO

Now, three years after his death, Mills’ mother has learned the suspect in her son’s murder has been offered a deal by the district attorney’s office.  An 8 year prison sentence.

“They let people out on bond that shouldn’t be on bond, repeat offenders.  This is my son.  You’re telling me I can’t fight for my son?  Even if we go to trial and we lose, I fought for my son,” says Tomaceeta Hampton, Mills’ mother.

Arrest warrants show Johnson has an extensive criminal history.  He was sentenced to 65 months in jail back in 1999 for robbery with a dangerous weapon.  Mills’ mother says the DA’s office offered him a deal after Johnson underwent several mental evaluations.

Johnson is expected to be sentenced in November.

CP's take:

Sad indeed once again life on the street in Charlotte is cheap. Leave it to liberals to "spin" this story.

Johnson has remained in the custody of MCSO since his 2019 arrest. But dig a little deeper and Tomaceeta Hampton's son wasn't exactly a "good boy".

Darnel Mills was a wanna be gangbanger, his arrest in 1998 AWDWIKISI and discharging a weapon into an occupied dwelling or vehicle, and mugshot highlight his lifestyle as much as his face tats.

and 1999 Intimidating Witness Felony Conspiracy conviction doesn't help the case.

Both arrests and the conviction paint him like his mug shot and give the impression of anything but a good boy.

Johnson's trial date for the murder of Mills is set on November 18th, 2022. CP expects the judge to accept the plea deal and that Johnson will serve another five years in jail before being released on Charlotte citizens once again.

So is this justice?

Just A Reminder How Fast Things Can Go Ugly

Warning: The Above Video Contains Graphic Footage.

This camera video shows Decatur Police Officers and a Macon County Sheriff's Deputy conducting a traffic stop just after midnight on October 12, 2022.

Officers upon approaching the vehicle notice a weapon in the seat with Jamontey O. Neal. As Officers try to remove Neal from the vehicle he pulls the gun on them and fires the weapon striking one Officer several times and another officer twice.

The videos released by the Decatur Police, 10 in all, show the 32-year-old Neal opening fire at close range range in the early morning traffic stop.

He had repeatedly refused commands to get out of the car and opened fire with one of two guns he had within his vehicle.

The entire encounter lasts less and 90 seconds.

Decatur Sgt. Tim Wittmer's BWC shows him waiting letting his junior officer deal with the subject until he senses the threat level is too high. The video clip starts as he approaches the suspect vehicle. What he does next, likely saved the other officer's life.

Warning: The Above Video Contains Graphic Footage.

Once again in slow motion provided by the Decatur Police Department:

Warning: The Above Video Contains Graphic Footage.

Just a reminder from CP - Let's be careful out there.

More Than 100 Victims In Charlotte

100 in Charlotte alone, not even looking past the city limits.

Add Gaston, Union, York, Cabarrus and Lancaster Counties (Meckburbia) and you have more than 150 in the past 12 months.

The Murder of Ahylea Willard A Culture of Violence

The murder of Ahylea Willard showcases the casual manner in which kids and adults in Charlotte's African American Community view shootings.

Early Sunday morning Ahylea Willard was found by several people that lived at the Heritage Park Apartments. Video that has since been taken down shows multiple people on Facebook Live gathering around Ahylea's lifeless body. Oh my God a dead body shouts one bystander, another is laughing, then joking about her blood still being wet.

The screen grab from FaceBook live apparently shows the victim lying in grass behind her apartment.

The people (kids and adults) around her body were conspiring to steal the gold belt and gold jewelry she was wearing.  A bystander can be heard saying "I'm about to get gloves and take her jewelry and belt" as they dance laughing around her lifeless corpse.

This is the audio only it starts after a short delay. Warning Graphic Content

To no surprise, when police arrived on scene, Ahylea's jewelry was gone.

A culture of violence, an accepted way of life in the hood.

Ahylea Willard Murder - CMPD Needs Your Help

Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department's Homicide Unit are requesting the public's assistance in locating the victim's vehicle taken during the recent homicide on Snow Lane.

The Mercedes Benz C250, with North Carolina license plate number, TJV-4843 (pictured below), is believed to be connected to the murder of Ahylea Willard (DOB 09/02/1990) in the 7100 block of Snow Lane on Sunday October 23, 2022.

The location and occupants are unknown at this time. The vehicle has been entered into the NCIC in connection to the murder.

Anyone who recognizes and/or locates this vehicle is asked to call 704-432-TIPS and speak directly to a Homicide Unit detective.

Detective M. James is the lead detective assigned to this case.

The public can also leave information anonymously by contacting Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600 or http://charlottecrimestoppers.com

For additional information about this case, please refer to the report: 20221023-1028-02.

Cedar's Take: The victim had connections in the Asheboro, North Carolina area. While the Mercedes is rather common in Charlotte it would really stand out in parts on Randolph County.

I'd also expect the plate has been swapped out by now but you never know.
