The good folks at Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation have delivered on their promise to repair the Officer Robert L. Smith Memorial at the county's Robert L. Smith Park located at 1604 Little Rock Road.
The monument had been damaged a couple years ago during the George Floyd Protests and sadly no one noticed. Robert's locker was 3 lockers from mine and I was working the east side when Robert was killed.My brother worked with Robert on the west side and was there that night when Robert lost his life.I rem
