Too Fast Too Furious? (The One Who Got Away)
Ask anyone around Charlotte about "Street Racing" and they will tell you it is out of control.
Last weekend's Southpark "take over" of Fairview and Park Roads lasted a full hour. Dozens of calls to 911 with no response from CMPD.
CMPD tells local media that they were on the scene 14 minutes after the calls came in. But CMPD sources tell CP and Meckburbia that they've been told to "stand down". In other words No pursuits No arrests.
Need proof?
Doing donuts Uptown just a few blocks from CMPD Headquarters and surely you'll get busted?
.
Or maybe not. Seems the no pursuit no arrest order to stand down is true.
But CMPD tells local media that's not true. There also no serial killer targeting Black women.

Street Racing In Charlotte? No Way!
From the local talking heads at WSOC last night:
Several residents in SouthPark witnessed street racing and stunts late Friday night at the intersection of Tyvola and Park roads.
Here's the news story at WSOC.(Yes I know its painful to deal with the endless pop ups and video ads).
Serena Battista watched it happen from her condo balcony. There were cars doing doughnuts, drifting, screeching tires and the noises of loud engines and horns.
“It was insane, and I wanted them to go away so I could go to bed,” Battista said. “It was literally a free-for-all,” Battista said. “Pretty much just havoc everywhere.”
Battista said that she saw hundreds of cars blocking off the intersection and people standing in the street, which caused a traffic jam.The street takeover lasted about an hour between about midnight and 1 a.m.
“It’s very irresponsible,” she said. “That should have been dealt with especially, because this is such a busy residential neighborhood.”
Another resident emailed Channel 9 to say that she called police but had to wait four minutes while on hold with 911.
Officers responded to the intersection well after the crowd had dispersed, she said.
“There were, like seven people that said they called, and I know the neighborhood across the street, there were people who called, as well,” she said.
Battista said there was more chaos when the crowds and cars finally left.
“Nobody paid attention to the traffic lights,” Battista said. “There could have been countless accidents. People were going whatever way they wanted to and I saw almost three of them (collide).”
Channel 9 sent the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department a series of questions about the incident and has not heard back.
Whoa this seems to be news to WSOC? But Charlotte's street racing scene is and has been out of control.

A Sad Tale A Mother's Pain and The Liberal Media
A local Charlotte News Operation led the other day tells a sad story of a mother's pain:
A Charlotte mother is demanding justice three years after her son was shot and killed.
Authorities say Johnson ran away from the scene right after the shooting, but later turned himself into police. Mills died from his injuries 9 days later.
Now, three years after his death, Mills’ mother has learned the suspect in her son’s murder has been offered a deal by the district attorney’s office. An 8 year prison sentence.
“They let people out on bond that shouldn’t be on bond, repeat offenders. This is my son. You’re telling me I can’t fight for my son? Even if we go to trial and we lose, I fought for my son,” says Tomaceeta Hampton, Mills’ mother.
Arrest warrants show Johnson has an extensive criminal history. He was sentenced to 65 months in jail back in 1999 for robbery with a dangerous weapon. Mills’ mother says the DA’s office offered him a deal after Johnson underwent several mental evaluations.
Johnson is expected to be sentenced in November.
CP's take:
Sad indeed once again life on the street in Charlotte is cheap. Leave it to liberals to "spin" this story.
Johnson has remained in the custody of MCSO since his 2019 arrest. But dig a little deeper and Tomaceeta Hampton's son wasn't exactly a "good boy".
Darnel Mills was a wanna be gangbanger, his arrest in 1998 AWDWIKISI and discharging a weapon into an occupied dwelling or vehicle, and mugshot highlight his lifestyle as much as his face tats.
and 1999 Intimidating Witness Felony Conspiracy conviction doesn't help the case.
Both arrests and the conviction paint him like his mug shot and give the impression of anything but a good boy.
Johnson's trial date for the murder of Mills is set on November 18th, 2022. CP expects the judge to accept the plea deal and that Johnson will serve another five years in jail before being released on Charlotte citizens once again.
So is this justice?
