More proof the system is broken.
A habitual violent felon on parole for armed robbery and murder is now accused of kidnapping someone after robbing a convenience store, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.
Police said just after 1 a.m. on April 28, they were called to the 7-Eleven at 4800 North Graham Street near Equipment Drive for an armed robbery.
Officers said William Morgan, 53, is accused of robbing the store at gunpoint.
Investigators said Morgan allegedly forced a witness out of the store and back into the car she had arrived in. He’s accused of then forcing the driver who was waiting in the car to drive Morgan at gunpoint meet another person. That person also got into the car, police said.
The witness begged the suspect to let her go and he did, investigators said. Then, the suspect forced the driver into the trunk of the car.
Police said the witness contacted CMPD after she was released.
“The suspect jumped in the back seat, pointed the gun at the driver, and said ‘drive.’”
Scharf said the woman was getting a ride from someone who was operating his own driving service at the time. Morgan is accused of forcing the driver at gunpoint to take him to meet his friend Jeremy Nash. Nash also got into the car, police said.''
The woman begged the suspect to let her go and he did, investigators said. Then, the driver was forced into the trunk space of the SUV.
“The suspect told her, ‘You can go but he has to die,’” CMPD said.
Police said the woman called 911 after she was released. Scharf said she was able to give a plate number. Around 3 a.m., the city’s Real Time Crime Center got a hit.
Officers found the car less than 10 miles from where it all began and tried to pull the car over knowing the victim could be inside.
Officers arrested Morgan and Nash and learned they both had extensive criminal histories.
Once they had Morgan in custody, investigators learned he served time in prison for a murder that happened during an armed robbery.
Morgan is charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, kidnapping, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Jeremy Nash, 28, is charged with kidnapping.
Wake Up Charlotte, these clowns are everywhere because a liberal run justice system has become useless.
And if you think Morgan is bad wait til you see the arrest record of Nash.
But even with knowing that both will be back on the streets in a few days Charlotte you'll keep voting for "defund the police" democrats, judges who embrace "soft on crime" policies and "jails are racist" liberals.
Are you going to pay for them to sit in prison and get healthcare? These are elements of society that we need to accept.
ReplyDeleteCan’t we do what their ancestors did? I’m sure if we auctioned them off, the ChiComs would buy them for labor. All solutions can be found in history. We can’t just ship them to a far off colony like the English did.
ReplyDeleteBasically a black Australia.
DeleteHappy to cover their 2 hots and a cot! Happy to pay for more work camps!
ReplyDeleteHow about we give them a nice place to stay comfortable cells TV with Netflix tray served meals and all the free drugs they like. Turn over rate should be about two a week or better.
ReplyDeleteHow about we hire them at the fire station and police HQ?
ReplyDeleteYep.
The CFD is already hiring people with questionable records and domestic abusers. If they lower the bar any more, it would have to be classified as lawn edging.
DeleteAnyone expect to see a pay raise from CLTCC?
ReplyDeleteThey need more cops so yes. You will work harder for that money though
DeleteBack in the day they end up somewhere south of Lancaster never to be seen again.
ReplyDeleteSo word is that OSHA is putting heat on CMPD to staff their shifts due to occupational safety complaints. That’s why there’s so much effort into recruiting anyone.
ReplyDelete337, don’t we have some lazy CALEA hoe that we can send over to sweet talk the Feds? This ain’t the first time.
DeleteBurnout is real and this is a very dangerous situation.
ReplyDeletePreach brother. I luv seeing people bitch about money when guys have PTSD and sore bones from this crazy shit.
DeleteWho are the judges that keep letting the trash out?
ReplyDeleteI was thinking about returning to CMPD from my power washing business. I just don’t know what it’s like now?
ReplyDelete-Are the shifts still 7 deep?
-Do they still move veterans to 3rd and rookies to 1st?
-Are hirebacks eligible for healthcare at retirement?
We have 10-50s holding for 2 hours. Former Officer Walter Bowers is sueing the HomieCide Unit for taking too long to solve a case. I’d rather wash cars.
DeleteWhy again does NC building code allow wood construction multi family over 3 stories? City is kind of lucky a tragedy like this hasn’t hit sooner, but there has been an odd rash of fires lately. Thankful for CFD leadership today!
ReplyDeleteHow many buildings are COMPLETED and full of people, animals, upholstered furniture constructed like this all over Charlotte and waiting to go up in flames? How the hell can anyone build something that high mostly out of wood? Yes, I know, it should have a sprinkler system when complete but that only goes so far. Condolences to the families of those that died today and thanks to CFD who tried on the scene. But codes should be changed and the dummies on Council, Mayor need to stop approving building plans for this crap. And the leftist "it's racist and elitist if you don't want 1000 units built on every lot 5 feet apart" people need to understand this is one potential consequence of high density that not everyone wants to deal with.
DeleteAs long as they keep coming up with the propaganda headlines that says Charlotte is the 8th best place to live in 2023-2024, then the mayor and city council could care less.
Delete“We're thrilled to be recognized as a great place to live,” said Mayor Vi Lyles
How many people have to die for cost cutting exercises? That poor black man should be alive today.
ReplyDeleteCrystal Eckhart got fired for complaining about the CFD headquarters having wind drafts in the office.
