This is a tragedy that not only weighs heavy on Charlotte but also our entire Nation.
This afternoon at just after 2 pm Mrs. Cedar did what 100s of other CMPD family members did, she checked in with those who know. She ran through a list of friends and family asking if they are they OK?
A buddy check just to be sure everyone was safe. The response was thankfully a short "We're OK I've got to go".
But we are not OK we are all family and we all hurt.
Prayers for all our CMPD Officers and their families, prayers for the members of our United States Marshals Service and their families. Prayers for our North Carolina Department of Adult Correction Correction Officers and their families. Prayers for our Nation.
To those who step up to form that thin blue line, we will never forget. We are forever indebted to you and your families.
CP
Hey politics aside, my heart goes out to the officers and Marshals hurt and to their families.
ReplyDeleteTragic day for all involved.
This world is crazy and people don’t care anymore. Charlotte is full of drug users with guns and they don’t care about their lives.
ReplyDeleteThanks Dr. Phil
DeleteThanks, crazy Huey!
DeleteDoes anyone else remember when Chief Jennings shot down the idea of giving officers load bearing outer carrier vests (with higher protection) because he didn’t liked how they looked? Wonder if he’s regretting that decision today….
ReplyDeleteYou don’t know the facts. Feds prob wear their tact vests on this.
DeleteI don’t know the facts? What are the facts then, clown?
DeleteRifle tears up the tact vest same way
DeleteThe charlit Neanderthal comments regarding the incident goes to show the caliber of scum who reside throughout the shit city.
ReplyDeleteNo doubt, Its just a Instagram page set aside for criminals and degenerates. Sick stuff.
DeleteHard Day Indeed. Prayers for all involved.
ReplyDeleteI'm at a loss for words. Just heart breaking.
ReplyDeleteHeroes All
ReplyDeleteI want to know who screwed this up? Someone really got stupid.
ReplyDeleteSo they knew he had a rifle and was on strike 3. They showed up with 9 people total which tips off the convict to what is coming next. He didn’t want to go back to prison for life.
DeleteI arrested a convict with a shotgun several years ago, and the guy ran down the street to escape and tried to climb in someone’s car.
Prison is worst than homelessness. Remember that when felons have a rifle on strike 3.
I thought cmpd wasn't involved until shots were fired? Is that not correct? The Marshal had his 2 task force members, were there more people involved to attempt to serve the warrant?
DeletePrayers for all our guys in blue.
ReplyDeleteI'm heart broken that this has happened in our Charlotte.
ReplyDeleteThere are 100 reasons this should not have happened.
ReplyDeleteIT IS VERY SIMPLE.This POS should have been in prison for his numerous crimes instead of walking among us.I was shot in the line of duty many years ago while serving a warrant. The suspect was a TWO time murderer and yet he was walking among us.He had done his time and yet he was on the outside.Oh by the way,MECK DA did not prosecute him for shooting a police officer. He did six months for the original warrant and then went to a rest home.Yes justice was fully served that day.YEAH.
DeleteThis turd should not have been out in the community. Of course there are crickets from the DA's Office when asked about the recent dismissals. They have their heads in the sand...
ReplyDeleteNo their heads are somewhere else where there is no sunshine.
DeleteNot to bring politics into a horrible situation, the the rifle supporters can see what happens when a nut gets a rifle in their hand. It’s like a junkie with fentanyl or a drunk with car keys.
ReplyDeleteVests don’t protect from rifles and I doubt those feds and responders had rifles in their hands upon approach.
The deck is against cops every day every way.
Im still waiting for someone that says the same stupid thing as you did to give a reasonable answer on how you will prevent criminals from getting weapons when laws taking guns away from law abiding gun owners?
DeleteA rifle is unnessary for self protection or hunting. It just shot 8 cops with handguns
DeleteThen start banning everything that can be used as a weapon! 🙄
DeleteNot everything takes down 8 cops that are armed.
DeleteYou still can't answer the question how banning rifles and taking them away from law abiding gun owners will stop criminals from getting them. You don't even know that all bullets that hit every officer were from the piece of shits guns and wasn't there a .40 cal involved? I hope there was no friendly fire but it appeared to be chaos.
Delete1053: They banned the Tommy Gun and I have never seen a criminal with one. Problem solved.
DeleteThen that should solve your problem!
DeleteIt’s weird seeing the cowards that have done nothing their whole careers and avoid field work that “show their support” or “our family member” or “we got your back” for these fallen men. We are looking at YOU..JJ and LYLIES.
ReplyDeleteThey didn’t have Wes Kerrick’s back or any of the other 50 cops targeted each year by brass.
Just shut up about “what we do” since these heroes are one of the few people that actually work around here…and now we never forget them.
CMPD media says the North Tryon Divison community was grateful for the fallen hero's work at addressing the community’s problems. Since when did the community start praising cops? Even the mayor was quiet until a death of an officer. How many prior offenses did the killer have with NO CONVICTION? We train these criminals to get bolder and understand police approach to homes. I hope the hero’s death can light a flame to conviction 100 more felons a year with grant funding and oversight panels to hold DA accountable as a watchdog like Cedar.
ReplyDeleteThanks for listening to my two cents.
So, they tested the two woman taken from the house for gun powder residue, and at least one came back positive yet they still released one of them to roam free? No way one person did all that shooting with two different weapons. Don't piss on my leg and tell me it’s raining.
ReplyDeleteMakes sense. Thanks man
DeleteMarshals are looking into friendly fire as I'm sure every agency is but I don't understand why the woman was released. Who was this woman to the perpetrator? Also, did she purchase any of the weapons for him?
DeleteRifle crowd reallll quiet on this one…
ReplyDeleteSo Brandon is going to stumble around and talk about how "Corn Pop" was a bad due and that he knows the families pain because his son was killing in Iraq and eaten alive by Haji.
ReplyDeleteVi Lyles will flow fake tears and Johnny will say how proud he is of his officers.
Then he'll forget the names of the two NC Corrections officers and Deputy Marshal.
OMG this is so sick
I keep a rifle in my truck for active shooter situations only. The cops are outgunned and scared to engage for political sake. We need to take matters into our own hands.
ReplyDelete1022 I'm thinking the same way. Tactical advantage to the habitual felons was made clear in 1997 with the North Hollywood Bank of America robbery and the running gun battle that occured. LE was out gunned and much of what was learned still hasn't found its why to CMPD.
ReplyDeleteI remember that. Cops had to raid a gun store to fight back. Plus, it takes cops 1 hour to respond to 911 and it’s just a fat guy or young kid.
DeleteNone of this happens if Charlotte would approve the recommendations, and lobby for legal cannabis. All the charges stem from a man who had to grow his own, since it is 'illegal' in this state. Time to get wise and quit running down plant growers who will do awful things when faced with a third fake strike.
ReplyDeleteI’ve spoke to many people that said they will never return to prison under and circumstance. They will shoot back and that’s why felons can’t have guns due to recidivism rates.
DeleteI dont care what your racial divide stuff is, weed shouldn't be illegal and cmpd own task force recently told all of you that you should be lobbying to change the laws. If those laws were ignored, like they should be, 5 people are still alive and 5 families have their fathers back putting food on the table each night. cmpd and us marshall going after someone growing a few plants is just insane.
Delete“Task force”. Shut up ignorant dumbass
Delete12:34 PM GFY They died because the shooter is an evil turd whose best quality was turning O-2 into CO-2 and his sorry ass stole the O-2. Now he's an earthworm amusement park and my only regret is there isn't a hell for him to burn in.
Delete7:22, there is a hell—and he is roasting.
Deletefour men get murdered and we get free breakfast and lunch all week plus all the talks we want in the billy graham bus? anyone else not pissed off to the point they want to walk? we have weak ass administrators posing as leaders and crooked politicians running the city and county. next week the fanfare will be gone. the free food will be gone. and we will still have the same weak ineffective leadership running this place.
ReplyDelete201: Bro I was just thinking that right now.
Delete4 white men get killed by 1 black male
All the city leaders are black and nothing will change.
McDonald's is hiring
DeleteI bet josh wishes he could come back to work next week!!! No matter who the chief is, the mayor, the DA. Whether there is free food or not.
Delete^^^^ 5 murdered, not 4
Delete4* fuck that dirtbag scum
DeleteWhat do you expect? Honestly, what could you possibly expect? A horrible thing happened, hopefully we learn from this and training is pushed out to prevent it from happening again. But if you’re going to complain about everything, what do you actual expect?
DeleteThat officer was hard working and wanted to make a difference. Now, he is dead. That why guys go home at 2pm with childcare issues. Sad week
ReplyDeleteSad news…but what will be done to change things by the leadership? They hated us for us and JJ is a pawn.
ReplyDeleteThink about this…if you still worked at NT then that might be you rolling into that crazy guy with a gun. He would have got you if you didn’t quit first. Rolling the dice around here can end badly even for the highly trained officers.
ReplyDeleteAnyone taking bets on when JJ will decide to retire…
ReplyDeleteJJ will leave by end of the year, followed by Sheriff McIdiot
DeleteBraxton Winston(Mayor Pro Temp) sends is regards to the officers via twitter!
ReplyDeleteBraxton says everyone should make it home safely. He also says cops shouldn’t have guns.
ReplyDeleteDeputy United States Marshal Thomas Weeks, Jr., will be remembered Monday during a memorial service at Bojangles Coliseum.
ReplyDeleteThe memorial service Monday will begin at 10:30 a.m.
I just hate how CMPD will play this event to attract recruitment. Nothing will change and these kids don’t know what they are entering.
ReplyDeleteIts really a shame
DeleteSomething is wrong here. These guys were not rooks that became disoriented at night. This wasn't considered anything but standard knock and count to ten warrant. But the mofo had the tactical advantage and it cost us big time.
ReplyDeleteI agree..it sounds like he knew they were outside. He went for the gun and took them out. Poor CMPD had to respond and they all got hit with no information ahead of the respond. His GF probably got him that rifle with her name.
DeleteDead is dead regardless of what happened but lessons learned are a big deal. Routine turned deadly, didn’t know exactly where house was, lookouts, cameras etc. doesn’t change the outcome! The vets are the first ones to cut a corner
ReplyDeleteJust FYI..please shave your beards next time you go to a funeral. It’s a matter of respect and class.
ReplyDeleteAmen brother…. These scraggly, patchy beards look like hell, and I know you think tats look tough but you look like filfhty criminals.
DeleteYES
DeleteIf the DA had balls he’d charge the two hood rats! If he had balls that is.
ReplyDeleteSpencer Merriweather is eunuch and a spineless one at that.
ReplyDeleteHe be takin’ care of his voters!
DeleteFor the love of GOD... nobody could get poor JJ a pot of coffee so he wouldn't yawn during the service?!?!?! He didn't prepare remarks and messed his speech up and then got caught yawning on the news cameras. Poor guy needs to move on to a new time of his life sitting on the porch, not running a major police dept.
ReplyDeleteC'mon man, the worst was seeing dave robinson eating some kids goldfish crackers!! Almost as bad as ex deputy chief vicki foster's weave
DeleteI saw Foster and retirement has done her wrong.
DeleteFoster is like herpes. just when you think that shits gone….bam there it is back on the news slapping them gums like she knows something. go sell a house and get gone for good.
DeleteJJ on the heels of RoMo was nothing more than a DEI (Didn't Earn It) hire. Can we please hire a real police chief?
ReplyDeleteNo, the city council had an agenda. With Braxton in place, the new chief will be even worse.
DeleteBraxton is out of the picture and lost his bid for a labor position in Raleigh. Guess baby mama drama and working at Time Warner is his gig
DeleteHe may win the mayor job after Vi leaves. He had the power to bring in his own chief.
DeleteMaybe Mayor Mayfield? Just what Charloote needs...And if JJ leaves can you imagine some (more) progressive Chief from Seattle or more liberal $hithole?
ReplyDelete
