According to CMPD an Officer sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries during a call for service on Interstate 85 (I-85) between W.T. Harris Boulevard and University City Boulevard in the University City Division.
On Saturday, Oct. 10, at approximately 12:39 a.m., officers responded to an Accident/Personal Injury call for service on I-85 northbound, assisting North Carolina State Highway Patrol (NCSHP) with traffic control. At approximately 1:44 a.m., an occupied CMPD vehicle on scene was struck from the rear by a vehicle travelling on I-85. Both the officer and the driver of the other vehicle were transported to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
The CMPD officer was treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was released from the hospital.
NCSHP and CMPD DWI Taskforce officers conducted a DWI evaluation of the driver, and the driver was determined to be impaired. After being released from medical treatment, the driver of the vehicle, Nicholas James Stedeford-Aaron, 22, was arrested and transferred to the custody of the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office.
Stedeford-Aaron is charged with:
Driving While Impaired
Reckless Driving to Endanger
Failure to Move Over for Emergency Vehicles with Injury
Stedeford-Aaron was released on a $1,000 secured bond just before midnight the same day.

DeleteSo they arrest Torreo but dont tell the story of why she fought another woman. It may be self defense or stand your ground. Go arrest Estella’s husband.

Most posts are done while I'm driving. (Relax its a boat albeit 85 feet and making around 18 knots) I'll correct the spelling errors at some point.
Just FYI I'm not posting about the swirl regarding CMPD Officer's text messages. But I swear if we start firing people for using bad words, even N eye double grrr we won't have enough uniforms to even present the Colors at a Panther's game.
That said don't text that shit.
And one more thing. Let's be careful out there.
My question is will it set a precedent for anyone in a group chat being fired for saying inappropriate things if one person in said chat gets the content of their phone exposed due to a criminal investigation?
DeleteRacism is low IQ and these people would just cause problems again in the future.
DeleteThey ask questions during the recruitment process, and there is a lie detector exam. It’s better to look at those processes.
