Step one - claim self defense.
Step two - Make sure your bail hearing is in front of a wacked out liberal black judge named Roderick Glenn Davis.
Step three - Have Davis listen your appointed public defender, who convinces the judge to enter the following as reason to grant bail.
This is a rebuttal presumption case. Defendant has presented evidence based on his/her strong ties to the community, employment history and or family support that rebuts the presumption. The fact of his case indicates that the alleged victim came to Defendant's home and would not leave. In considering the facts there may be a strong claim of self-defense. A $50,000 secured bond is reasonable based on the facts.
Never mind that you stabbed the victim 8 times.
At this point the judge for all intents and purposes has already held the trial and declared the defendant not guilty.
Crawford raised the $5,000 in cash needed to leave the Mecklenburg County Detention Center a few hours later and was released on September 29 at 10:21 am.
Since then Crawford has been indicted by a Mecklenburg Grand Jury on October 6, 2026.
Yet he remains free on the minimal bail. His next court date is for an Administrative Hearing on November 10, 2026.
