Once again we hear that crime is down and perception that crime is bad is unfounded.
Then the Mayor claims that "By and Large Charlotte is a safe city" yet she has 24/7 police protection despite living in the SouthPark area of Charlotte.
CMPD just released their 3rd Quarter Crime Stats, But are the numbers real?
CMPD, using their own numbers, their own data base, distilled down to, one homicide, one event, one crime.
Except their are two victims.
Anilkumar Patel and Pankaj Patel.
Two shootings.
Two dead bodies.
Reported as 1 crime.
Should we trust CMPD numbers?

Nope two murders equal one crime.
Gabriel Jacob Lee and Colby Cash Smith same thing months earlier.
200 North Caldwell the night of July 5. Both shot to death just minutes apart.
CMPD data says July 4, 2025. Even though CMPD press release says July 5, 2025.
But that's being picky. Right?

But crime is down unless you live, work or play Uptown where murders are up 200%
These numbers don't help the perception.
Sheriff McFadden once claimed to do traffic checkpoints in Huntersville due to white privilege. So why can’t we see the crime stats in certain sections of town? Why does it have to be county wide and not specific areas?
ReplyDeleteChief Putney used to show the amount of complaints from citizens and internal employees. I would like to see data from officer suspensions and what for exactly? How many crimes are by prior arrested citizens?
Just saw pictures of new CMPD officers graduating from rookie school.Does CMPD vehicles come equipped with booster seats?One of the females could not be taller than 4'10.Some of the male officers were not much taller.I hope the good lord will ride with them and be there by their side when it hits the fan.
