CMPD Crime Stats Smoke and Mirrors?

Once again we hear that crime is down and perception that crime is bad is unfounded.

Then the  Mayor claims that "By and Large Charlotte is a safe city" yet she has 24/7 police protection despite living in the SouthPark area of Charlotte.

CMPD just released their 3rd Quarter Crime Stats, But are the numbers real?

CMPD, using their own numbers, their own data base, distilled down to, one homicide, one event, one crime.

Except their are two victims.

Anilkumar Patel and Pankaj Patel.

Two shootings.

Two dead bodies.

Reported as 1 crime.

Should we trust CMPD numbers?

I've got questions.

I know what you're thinking - well, its an honest mistake a one off, an outlier, right?

Nope two murders equal one crime.

Gabriel Jacob Lee and Colby Cash Smith same thing months earlier.

200 North Caldwell the night of July 5. Both shot to death just minutes apart.

CMPD data says July 4, 2025. Even though CMPD press release says July 5, 2025.

But that's being picky. Right?

Again One Crime

But crime is down unless you live, work or play Uptown where murders are up 200%

The perception is that crime is out of control and that liberal judges and a liberal DA have turned Charlotte into a hellscape of crime.

These numbers don't help the perception.

  1. Sheriff McFadden once claimed to do traffic checkpoints in Huntersville due to white privilege. So why can’t we see the crime stats in certain sections of town? Why does it have to be county wide and not specific areas?

Chief Putney used to show the amount of complaints from citizens and internal employees. I would like to see data from officer suspensions and what for exactly? How many crimes are by prior arrested citizens?

    1. We just hire anything that comes through the door at this point. We’re desperate. Don’t expect these cowards and morons to come to your 10-33 until scene is secure

    3. 1836, so sorry we don’t look like fat slobs hiding in the office doing paperwork. This is a new day at CMPD and we are ready to handle what comes our way.

  3. I would guess the UCR/NIBRS reports coming out of CMPD Crime Analysis haven’t be correct for years.

  4. In the words of Gunnery Sgt Hartman, the best part of Butler ran down the crack of his mommas ass and ended up as a brown stain on the mattress. With that ftard in a white shirt you’re all screwed.

    1. Butler has run off a lot of good officers. All he cares for is his next promotion by any means

  5. JJ only has 2 months to hide now. With the holidays coming up, it should be a little easier. I wonder if he is having a hard time spending all that money he’s collecting for doing absolutely nothing.
